Thoughts: I felt great on my run today...I kept my pace under 10min the entire run.  I was disappointed that I didn't get to lift weights like I wanted to, but I did get 9 hours of overtime today so it was worth it.

Thoughts: As of 5:00PM I have not had a chance to run...went to bed late last night and slept til noon...I was literally about to go run when I got a text to go in and work some overtime from 3PM-7PM.  So, instead, I packed my bag with my running clothes so I can run right after work.  I did take Bullet to the park for a little walk today.  Hopefully, I'll add to the post later tonight about my run (although there is a chance I will be working until 11PM).

Side note-poor little Bullet needs a haircut...it is way too hot for him to have long hair when we go for our walks.  I called and made an appointment for my last 2 personal training sessions...I am going to see how much it would cost to continue training there.  I am also going to call the new gym and see if there is someone I can talk to about training and compare costs.

Thoughts: I'm glad I got a run in...I do want to point out that all my runs include at least a 10min walking cool down, so that does play a part in slowing down my average pace.

Thoughts: I called in sick to work today and my sleep was all messed up...I did not get to run today.  Frustrating but I will get back on track tomorrow. 

On a side note...I really need to get internet at my house so I can update my blog daily and not just when I'm at work.

Trying something new 05/20/12

Thoughts: I did ok for the first 3 miles and then had to run/walk the last 3 back to my car...after about 5 miles I just walked that last mile.  Granted, I went running at noon (HOT!!) and that probably slowed me down, but I haven't been going running as often or as much and I can definitely tell it has taken a toll on my running ability...I also think my break from weight training has had an effect as well.  Oh well, today is hopefully a step in the right direction on getting back on the right track.

     I am trying something new with my blog posts...just trying to keep myself accountable as much as possible.  I am going to get back into lifting weights...it has definitely helped me in the past.  I also need to get my lazy butt up earlier in the mornings, especially now that it is getting insanely warm, in order to help avert some of the heat issues.
     I am thinking about switching gyms and going to Premier Fitness instead of 360 Fitness...since it is right by the park that I run at.  I think I am more likely to follow through with my weight and stretching routines if it is convenient with what I am already doing.  I do have 2 more training sessions with a personal trainer at my old gym, so I will go ahead and use those and then decide where to go from there.  If training is cheaper at the new gym then I will definitely change gyms.
